Its cobots are aimed at metal-fabrication work where repeatable movements can be separated from preparation, fit-up and more complicated assembly tasks.</p><p>The offer combines the cobot, software and accessories as a standardized package. Hirebotics says the packages are kept in a warehouse and can be shipped on the day following an order. That model is intended to reduce the setup burden for manufacturers that may not have large automation teams, although the practical value still depends on how well the cell fits a shop’s existing workflow.</p><h2>What stays with the human operators</h2><p>According to Hirebotics, operators can control the cobots and troubleshoot problems through a smartphone application without programming experience. This lowers the software barrier, but it does not make the machine an independent production line.</p><p>In the company’s example, the cobot handles a monotonous task such as welding an eight-foot bead. Human workers take care of fit-up and the more complex portions of the job. The division matters because it defines the actual use case: the robot is assigned a repeatable operation, while people retain the work that requires adjustment and judgment.</p><p>Hirebotics also says its cobots are designed to work safely alongside people in the workshop. That safety claim is tied to a collaborative arrangement and a defined manufacturing process. It should not be read as a promise of unrestricted operation in every industrial setting.</p><h2>Advanta’s reported production increase</h2><p>Advanta, the automotive supplier cited by Hirebotics, uses 20 of the company’s robots. Hirebotics says the first robot increased production from 25 to 100 parts per day within a few hours of installation. The page describes that result as a fourfold increase compared with work performed only by humans.</p><p>Matt Bush, Hirebotics’ co-founder and COO, says welding is on average 50% faster than with human workers. Those figures come from the company’s customer account, so they describe that deployment rather than establishing a universal performance guarantee. They do show the business case Hirebotics is presenting: use a cobot for consistent, repetitive welding while skilled workers focus on the surrounding tasks.</p><h2>The workflow remains the deciding factor</h2><p>For a smaller manufacturer, the concrete change is access to a ready-made cobot cell that existing staff can operate without programming experience. The compromise is equally clear. Automation can raise throughput on a repeatable operation, but people still need to prepare parts, manage fit-up and handle the work the robot cannot standardize.</p><p>Hirebotics’ case is therefore about assigning a narrow, measurable production step to a collaborative machine, not removing human involvement from automotive manufacturing.
